account of friday, late 1970s PCC meeting run by Duane the 11th grader. librarian also a guy.
old debate - local school proposing to set up and teach "own computer games classes using Center as its base. Hardod, one of the "old--timers" is arguing that the Center can make more money by running the classes itself. Jane, another "old--timer" wants to give it a try.
Duane fires his cap pistol three times and has Harold and Jane sum up their arguments. The motion is defeated, but by a narrower margin than last year." They want to make money? Who is Jane? how much older is the People's Computer Center of Menlo Park than the PCC newsletter? WAIT. THIS IS A FANTASY?
"now five fulltime teachers, two hardware people, loads of young people, and paraprofessionals"
